I cannot get over fifty mph without running 5000 to 6000 rpm, so I guess my transmission is going out? So what other year models will fit my truck? What is interchangeable for my truck?

Could be the transmission or the wiring or the controller. Take it to a transmission shop and let them test it. They can give you a definite answer. Modern transmissions are electronically controlled, it could be a simple solenoid that takes half an hour to change or it could be that the transmission is shot. They can also tell you which other transmissions fit. There are different ratios and power handling based on rear gearing, option packages and more. It could be a 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E.
