Transmission problem code P1723

I have run an OBD II check and came up with code P1723 ( transmission control relay).
Also, the car while in fourth gear under normal acceleration will jump into second gear and then to third gear and then back to fourth gear. It is extremely difficult to increase speed because of the gear jumping downwards.

The control relay may have a dirty connection. You can clean the contacts of the plug with terminal contact cleaner. If this does not help the control relay is probably the issue here.
