So about 2 weeks ago I took my car to CarMax for a burnt out clutch (it’s what they said). I took it to them because I just had recently taken out the car not long before that (free of charge). I received the car today but the clutch feels super soft compared to before and whenever I shift to gears 2/4/6 it doesn’t have the same feeling as in before, it doesn’t lock onto the gears it just feels as if it’s loose and just there but it does shift.

Good afternoon,

This sounds like the cables that attach the shifter to the transmission. You need to check the cable mounts to be sure they are secured correctly. I attached the procedure with pictures for you to view.

I am sorry. But I don’t know much about cars. Would this fix the soft clutch of the loose feeling of shifting into 2/4/6?

No, that is part of the clutch itself. The parts they used most likely were not OEM parts. The replacements give you an easier, softer pedal.
