Hi there,

When the transmission is in park a small locking device called a pawl engages on a locking ring with in the transmission, i wold imagine this has failed, this can snap it the transmission has been put into park while still moving, it is not normally a difficult repair but the transmission pan will have to be removed to access it, check with a trans specialist for requirements for your transmission.
