We thought our ignition clyinder lock needed replacing, because it wouldn't start. It worked for three weeks, then it wouldn't start. So we returned the part, and got the part from Napa Auto parts instead, the first one from Auto Zone, after three tries for right one. We installed it in the parts store parking lot, wouldn't start. The next day, and ten more days after that, it started. Now it has a mind of it's own. What else could it be? Neutral safety switch?

When it doesn't start, you mean it's not cranking at all? Are you getting a click out of it or nothing at all? Could be faulty neutral switch or the ignition switch. Did you replace the actual ignition switch or just the cylinder housing (where key inserts)?
