1999 Toyota Tacoma 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive 225000 miles

Twice within a month the engine would not turn off, even when pulling out the key! It is accompanied by a very loud screetch. The reason I have not found out yet is probably due to prayer. Eventually the car stopped running. The engine light has been on for over a year. (Yes, I have been negligent. Are you hiring office work?). I will donate but not pay on-line!

Check for vacuum leaks around the intake boot and also check your idle air control motor.

You should definetely have your car scanned for trouble codes, the check engine light is telling you that there is a system malfunction and will have a code indicating which system has failed.
