1999 Toyota Tacoma 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

How do you get the crossover pipe out of the truck. I have it unbolted after 4 hrs but not sure how to get it over top the motor to get it out. One pipe is broke off so I have to replace the crossover pipe. Thanks

Most pipes are done from underneath.

I realize that but this pipe goes over top of the transmission on the 3.4 v6. I have it unbolted from the exhaust manifolds and the rest of the system but can't get it over the trans. To get it out of the truck there just isn't enough room. I'm wondering if you have to lower the trans to get it out, if this is the case it is a stupid setup to have to go through all that to change an exhaust pipe.

Without seeing it, how much room is there? Is it too tight to the firewall? You might be able to loosen the tranny mount and jack up on the tailshaft to tilt the motor forward? Or pull down on it?
