I recently put a starter in my truck due the the old one failing. The truck started fine for three days, then I drove across town and parked and when I went to start in again I got nothing. I let the truck sit over night until I could get back to it and it started right up. So now im scared to drive it and have it fail again. I am wondering what would cause the starter to not turn and how I can locate and test the starter relay? Thanks.

Relay is where the battery connects to to power the starter to put it in laymans turns for ya. Find the power cable going to the starter and what it hooks to is the relay also known as the solenoid. To test next time it wont start check to see if your getting a +12v signal to the starter. If you are but no starter response theres a issue with the relay/starter. If your getting nothing thers a issue with the ignition switch, neutral safety switch
