I have a 1999 Toyota Sienna SE minivan with 135K on the odometer and a 6 cylinder engine. How much should a tune up cost? I have been quoted prices ranging between $600 and $900, but these seem excessive to me.

Could these prices be accurate?

I think the prices are high. The prices do vary for make and models due to parts and labor. Some parts cost more then others and some cars require more time to work on. Is it a minor or major tune up. Most minor tune ups consist of replacing spark plugs and a oil change. Everthing else is checks such as inspected wires, belts fluids and air filter. A major tune up consist of the above and REPLACING ignition wires, air/fuel filter, and PCV valve. Do your home work and shop about or if you feel up to it do the tune up your self. Good luck :)
