I changed my oil & filter. Then i went to drive it. Drove a few yards and i noticed that although I press on the gas pedal the car won't move or drive.
The car was making a noise prior. Now there I have a noisey engine and the car will not move at all. What is going on?

Can you be more specific about the engine noise. Does it "rattle" and does the pitch change when you rev it up a little bit? When you try to drive the car, is it like the brakes are holding? Did you use the emergency brake when you changed the oil and is that stuck? Please advise.

The noise is like a rattle and it rattles more when the car is reved up. The brakes was not on during the oil change. The car does not feel like the brakes are holding as the car will "roll" yet it will not drive. The car just sits there. Its as if the car is in neural and your acelerating, yet I'm actually in drive!

It sounds like your transmission torque convertor came apart. You will need to have it checked out by your mechanic or a shop.

I just checked the vehicle again and realised that there was no transmission fluid in the vehicle - is my vehicle doomed?

Well, how lucky do you feel. You have about a 50/50 chance. All you can do is add fluid and hope for the best. If it moves, time will tell. You may want to pull the pan on the trans and see what is in the bottom and change filter. That's if it moves. Good luck.
