1993 Toyota Previa ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT

The engine management light has come on, I have changed the lambda sensor but the light is still on. There is also a 'pinging noise' and the exhaust smells 'rich'. The car has also started to idle when I am pulling away. What could the problem be? As I have already changed the lambda sensor, which I was told was the cause, I am lost as too where to look now. Thank you.

Try this remove the EFI fuse for 10secs and see what happens with the light-don't work do below-

Under the driver's seat you'll find the check connector-use a small piece of jumper wire on the Te-1 to E-1 and count the flashes per repair manual-
