We've been having an intermittent problem with our 2003 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, 85000 miles, 3.4L V6 with Supercharger. This has been going on the past year with no clear answer. We'll be driving along and suddenly have a loss of power, the rpms drop and we have to floor the gas to pull it out of it. Haven't pinpointed any common variables for when it happens. Sometimes the engine is hot other times cold..can be going 70 on the freeway or 30 locally. Occasionally the check engine light will come on . But it usually stays on for a day and next time we turn on the engine it resets itself. We were able to get one set of codes from the engine: P0741 and P2121. One mechanic said it was if the engine went into a safety mode. He suggested replacing the throttle body but wasn't 100% sure if that was it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
