I fueld up my 1986 toyota 22R pick up with a standard trans and 90K miles. After the fuel up I pulled out of the service station got to the first red light and notice a rough idle, I got on the freeway then noticed a loss of power. I pulled over and the exhaust manifold was cherry red. I pulled off the cat converter thinking it was a plugged exhaust, started the truck and no change in power. What can I do next? Thanks

Check your carb float might be sinking due to pin hole leak on it or needle valve. When you pulled the Cat is it still glowing?

After pulling off the CAT there was no impovment. It turns out it was the carb running too rich, gave it an overhaul took care of the problems.
