1995 Tacoma 2.4 liter with 170,000 miles won't start when hot and outside temperature is above 85 degrees. This happened last summer but it was worse this year. If I try to start it within 5 minutes after being shutoff it cranks but will not start. I can smell fuel during this time. If the truck sits for 10 or 15 minutes after being shut off it starts every time. I have replaced the distributor and the crank sensor and the problem persists.

Check the fuel pressure, the pump might have a problem holding the pressure they called it residual
