1992 Toyota Pickup backup switch or neutral safety

Recently my back-up lights have stopped working on my wife's truck.

I checked all of the fuses, cleaned the sockets, bulbs & connectors. Still no power to the rear contacts.

I attempted to replace the backup switch on the trans and I was send a part from Rock Auto that does not appear to match. The rep on the phone @ Rock Auto disagrees. I have attached a pic of their part that I cannot seem to find a place on the tranny for.

The dealer took the VIN # and told me there was NO separate backup switch for the automatic trans and I needed a neutral safety switch instead (@ 10x the cost).

Can you tell me if this model (Tran # 03-71) has a separate B/U switch from the NS switch?

Can you send me a pic with the location?

With a column shift

As per the back-up light-test the back-up relay-see below -Check A and no.14 for pick/up in the fuse/relay block no.1

Good catch, yes it is a column shift.
