Ok, my 1991 Toyota pickup 4x4, runs great, ac and heater work great. when running down highway the thermostat gauge is on half. then we stop at red light or go low speeds like 5 mph. the gauge meter will start climbing, and if you dont get going it overheats. then you sit and wait. but at night you can run it real low speeds and it be fine but when you idle it will barley climb hasnt overheat at night. but now radiator and fluid are fine. fan clutch is replaced but now the fan shroud is half way broke, my dad dont think that would cause it to over heat so bad. tomorrow i am changing oil, amd flushing radiator i hope it helps. i will look at oil to make sure i dont have internal leak, but my symptons sound like water pump or something?
