1980 toyota pickup wont start

yes today i was driving a trail and everything on my toyota is stock i was starting to accelerate up a hill and the truck just shut off on me and now it will not start i tried messing with the battery recepticles and the headlights come one but normally when i go to start the truck the check engine light and the fuel light and pretty much all the warning lights will come on then turn off when i start it well none of those will turn on and it wont turn over wont crank i cant hear the starter click i pretty much get nothing if you could help i would really love it

Double check the battery connections and check all the fusible links-the little square boxes on the power distribution box.

There is also a small single wire terminal on the side of the starter beside where the pos. cable connects to the starter. It runs of the ignition switch. It just slides on the terminal so it could have bounced off. That will do it. Put a new motor in mine and was furious when I couldn't get it to turn over but all my dash lights and everything worked. Look for a loose wire dangling around the starter somewhere.
