Hi. My 94 toyota autotranny once the car started works for only a couple of minutes. Then it stop switching gears at all and it kinda overheats under the hood. The car has 157000 front wheel drive and you can feel it does not switch the gears but stays in park or it doesnt' run once on a gear anymore. I added one quart of tranny fluid dextron III bc it was very low and it worked for a few weeks. But now it just became as I explained again. Plzz help.

Could be one of these: Coolant temperature, Vehicle speed, Throttle Position sensors, shift solenoids if the computer don't see theses signals the tranny will not operate properly.

Try fresh fluid and a new filter for a start
