ABS breaks on icy road

Hi I am using Hilux 98 with ABS on it,
Living in New Zealand. Iin Winter, roads gets black ice specialy in the morning. Is it safe to drive Cars with ABS with out any problems. Or still neet to get same precaution same as other cars with no ABS

It's just fine. It doesn't change anything. Just keep in mind that ABS is a driving aid, not something to feel like it will brake for you when it's time for the car to stop. ABS prevents the car from locking the tires so you can steer the car, and to shorten your stopping distance. "Stab, stay, steer".. In an emergency, STAB the brake pedal with your foot, STAY on the pedal, and STEER to avoid any obstacle in front of you.
