2002 Toyota Landcruiser VSV for turbo pressure control.

Hi Tech,

I tested the VSV for turbocharging pressure control on a 1HD-FTE engine as per instructions in the Toyota repair manual RM617E, see below, in step 4 (inspect VSV operation) check that air does not flow from port E to G.

1) Can you please confirm that a VSV valve is NOT operational (useless) if air flows form port E to G and that I need to replace this VSV valve.

Hi Abdul,

Thank you for the donation.

Air should flow between E and G if no voltage is applied to the valve terminals.

If voltage is applied at the terminals, then air should not flow between them.
