Hi there,

These sumps are chemically bonded and are very tough to remove, there is a special chisel used that breaks the bond and the sump can be carefully removed if you use a screw driver you will damage the sump and this must be avoided.

OK, sorry, my mistake,

If you have the car on chassis stands and let the suspension hang down there should be enough clearance to remove the sump.

Never work under a car with out stand if jacked up, go get some stands, if the car slips or the jack leaks pressure you will be crushed.

Just make sure that the car is safe and it won't move, that is the important thing,

Good luck, and thank you for using 2carpros.

I have the same problem but thanks to this forum.
I really learned a lot since I am not so good at checking and doing things on my own.
