I teach Mechanics at a high school in Calgary Alberta, and I was asked by the owner of the above listed vehicle if if the power steering fliud needs to be checked on this hybrid vehicle. He was told by a lube store that it is electric.I thought that the electric pump drives a hydraulic pump. Which is it and where is the reservoir? Thanks Don R. Morgan

Hi there,

I have exhausted all search options I have and all I can find is power steering fluid is Dextron 111. To top up if low, now I believe it is an electric system, but where the reservoir is I just don't know. The only thing I can tell you is it does not use the transmission oil as the trans uses a special oil again. So there must be a reservoir there somewhere.
