Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Toyota Highlander 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I tried to start my car and an alarm started to go off and I"m not able to start my car. I disabled the horn and battery for several hours and tried again, but it still won't start. I do have a red button on the left side of my steering wheel. Someone told me that it was my ignition kill button. What do I have to do to reset it and start my car???

Hi lsupride504,

Thank you for the donation.

If vehicle is equipped with kill switch, turn ignition swithc to ON before pressing the swithc to disarm the alarm.

If vehicle is equipped with OEM alarm, using the igintion key to lock and unlock the door with all doors closed should disarm the system.

Ensure battery is in good condition.
