My car is a toyota corolla 89. I was driving today and the car started smelling like gasoline and it was rapidly wasting gasoline. I stopped the car, opened the hood to chech it and I noticed that one of the spark plugs was filled up halfway with oil. I just changed the spark plugs today and the gas filter so I was wondering what could possibly be causing this problem.

Hi there,

This is a very comon problem, the oil is coming from the spark plug tube, these are threaded into the cylinder head and can start to leak with age. to fix you have to remove the rocker cover and tighten the tubes (best to remove and re seal the threads.) As these tubes can be damaged easly best leave to a work shop to do this job. As for the fuel leak check fuel filter & hose to fuel rail a leak should be easy to see.
