I have a 2004 toyota corolla and my windshield wipers wont stop. It only starts when there is snow and ice on the ground. Not rain just snow. I feel like there is sensor that triggers the windshield wipers to start automatically. They wont stop and this causes visibility issues for me, what can I do?

Most likely you have a bad wiper switch, to test, disconnect wiper motor, turn wipers to off and then check for 12V at wiper motor.

There are specific tests that would have to be performed to isolate problem.

I can post them if you want, or have Toyota, or trusted garage look at it.

I am also getting the same issue with my 2004 Toyota corolla LE with 115000 miles, I am looking for solution to it. As per the reply saying Specific test to identify the issue, Can I have some details. I checked with 2 to 3 auto mechanics they are saying need to replace the switch which is going to cost me more than 300 to 400 bucks cost. I am just thinking if there is any switch issue it should happen always right, why it is happening at the time rain and snowing. Thanks in advance.
