2004 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 58K miles

My windshield washer fluid ran completely out last week. I filled the reservoir. It seemed to take much longer than usual for it to get through to the tubes to the windshield, but I thought that was because it has been very cold here in the Midwest lately. It kind of sputtered against the windshield and did not blast it like it usually did. I attributed this to the cold as well. A couple of days later I tried it again. Nothing happens. I can't hear the noise either. The reservoir is still full. Is this a job I can do myself and if so, how? If not, how hard/expensive a job is it for a mechanic? Please let me know as we are expecting an inordinate amount of snow tomorrow. Thanks so very much.

Check the fuse first, if OK, then the pump may be bad.

If you can see the pump attached to the container, then it should be easy to change, if it is under container, it would be more difficult to change.

But check fuse first.

It is also possible the washer fluid is frozen.

Do you keep car in garage or is it outside all night?
