Yesterday my air conditioner was working fine. Today it is not blowing cold so I tried charging it with freon (I know I spelled that wrong but you get my point) that didn't work. The compressor only kicks on when the car is first started and stays on for about 10 min. Pressure in line builds up. Someone suggested that it could be the relay. What do you think?

Hi there,

You should first have the pressures checked to make sure that it is not a high or low pressure switch shutting the system down, start here.

Do you think a relay could do this though?

Hi there,

I would not expect the system to start up at all if it had a faulty relay, but it can not be ruled out completely, i would still have the pressures tested first and if they are OK, investigate the electrics.
