Where are the spark plugs on a 2002 toyota Corolla?

How they can be replaced?

there on top of the engine. you need a special socket wrench to remove them. how do you know they need to be replaced. I just replaced mine at 120k on my 97 corolla and they were all stock only one burnt out.

You will have to remove the plastic cover to expose the valve cover. Remove individual coil bolts (I mark coils so as to put them back on the same cylinder) and electrical connector and remove coils.

Long tube to spark plug, so use a long extension and spark plug socket.
Use ONLY NGK OR DENSO iridium plugs, put a dab of antisieze on each plug thread and a dab of dielectric grease inside end of coil tube (where spark plug connects).

Put new plug in spark plug socket and start the plug BY HAND into head, torque to spec, these plugs use a washer to seal as opposed to a tapered seat, so torque is improtant.
