I bought a Corolla NZE 121, 2001 make. The dial for temperature control has a blue colour all through, which means i dont have a heater in my car?
Is there a way of installing a heater if none exists?

So far i have been clearing the fog on my windshield using AC (cold air) which apparently is not very friendly when you have young children riding in the car.

Thanks for your help.

Peter.

The only place you would find a car not equipped with a heater would be a tropical climate.

Check owners manual about heater, AC will clear windows if caused by high humidity.

I would find it hard to believe it has no heat capacity, a heater core would have to be installed.

I f not equipped with heat, it may be Toyota offers an electric unit.

Thanks for the response. Am using the car in Kenya, East Africa. The car was imported from Singapore. I have attached a snap shot of the Air conditioning area of the dashboard for your reference. I assume the missing button at the left hand side would be the passenger seat belt sensor. I also dont have an owner's manual for the car. I would appreciate help on getting this online. Thanks for your support. Peter

My guess is Toyota figured the rare times you would need a heater in such a climate would not be worth the install. So they probably concentrated on an powerfull AC and cooling system to combat the ambient heat and keep car running.

You can use RainX anti-fog to combat the morning fog, other than an electric heater, a full heater install would cost a bunch.

I will try to see if I can find any more info on dash controls.
