2000 Toyota Corolla Two Wheel Drive 135000 miles
I have taken my car to the mechanic and he had it for a week and said he couldn't find the problem. I'm guessing he just didn't listen. Starting the car is not the problem. My car will start without fail. But if i don't let it run for more than 30 seconds and I try to drive hitting the gas will make the engine shake and if I keep pushing on the gas it will stall. If I let off of the gas when it is shaking and about to stall it will usually be okay. To get it going I either have towait a minute after starting it up, or press the gas very lightly. once i drive more than a quarter of a mile the problem seems to disappear until the next time i start it up. When the car does stall the battery light comes on. I suspect it has something to do with either the battery or the fuel injector. About 7 months ago i had the fuel injector changed when it was having very similar problems. any help or advise i would very much appreciate.
