I have a car that is possibly hydrolocked. Is there a sympton that would tell me if a rod is bent?

If you have coolant in the cylinder it will leak into the oil pan. Check the oil for a milky white color.
Remove the spark plugs and turn the engine with a ratchet and socket on the balancer bolt, it should turn easy, if coolant comes out the spark plug hole, then you know.
You could remove the oil pan and look at the rods.
More than likely the rod is only one problem, the main bearings are likely bad (washed by coolant) and the head is probably warped/cracked.
