Engine Performance problem
1998 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i hadn't started my car in a few days. when i did this morning, it started fine but was running rough. it didn't stall or anything, but lot's & lot's of white smoke was coming from the exhaust. i should also note that it has been raining for days. could it be wet spark plug wires?

Could be water got in the intake somehow, but if the event was short and did not do it again, then I wouldn't worry about it.

If concerned, perform a compression test to rule out a head gasket/intake.

Coolant/water will linger in air, coolant will have a sweet smell, water will generate steam.
