My car makes a weird noise when my foot is on the gas, it sounds very similar to the noise a motorcycle makes when it accelerates. It s a sound that wasn't there before ( i have only started driving this car recently after it was sitting around in my garage for a year) and passed a clean bill ( the sound wasnt there) before i started driving it. I am wondering if this is an urgent problem as i have received mixed advice on what the sound means.

Not sure I understand what you mean by a "motorcycle sound", but I would check the exhaust system for leaks.

If you did not add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel before storage, then the gas is bad for sure, and will cause varnish to form in the fuel system. So drain the gas, add a varnish remover (fuel system cleaner) to the gasoline. You may have to do this for several tanks to get the varnish out, which can cause injector problems and a host of other driveability problems.
Change the fuel filter also.
