HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE STARTER MOTOR OFF A 4A-FE ENGINE?

Remove the negative battery cable first. Then the cable connection and solenoid connections to the starter.

The starter is usually held in place with two bolts, one one either side of the bell housing. Depending on the year, the starter can be located on the front or rear of engine.
