Just bought a 1997 Toyota Corolla off a korean woman, and all looks ok. There is however an issue with the brake lights. With the headlight switch off, the brakes work fine. I noticed however the first time I drove it at night that the brake lights including the 3rd eye level light stays on all the time. The woman I bought it off of is not aware of any thing done to the vechile. In fact, it has mostly sat unused for several years unused since her divorce.
I basiclly need to know what would cause the brake lights to be on and stay on when the lights are turned on. I should also note that with the car completly off and nothing on, if you depress the brake pedal the dash light comes on and a warning tone ensues as well. Not sure if this is nomral function or not.
