Brakes problem
1997 Toyota Corolla Front Wheel Drive Manual
'97 toyota corolla wagon.
at the end of the summer '08 someone borrowed the car and did something that made the battery die. i charged it, and died again, then wouldn't hold a charge. i was busy and didn't "get around" to it. i left it in a retreat centers parking lot over winter (snow... northern WA). then this past spring, i went and got a new battery, replaced it and it turned over fine. take e-brake off, shift it into gear, and it just revs up and doesn't budge. some people said maybe the e-brake got rusted and to try pushing the car to break the rust (couldn't push it), and i've heard a few different theories involving brake pads and cylinders(?). i know i need to put in new/clean gas and change the oil but any suggestions involving brakes, anything i can do? i dont have much money and im on an island so anything auto is pretty pricey.
thanks!!
