Brakes problem
1997 Toyota Corolla Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have put 2 sets of brake pads and rotor on my car--The first one was cheap then I went to the most expensive brakes, my brakes squeek everytime I put the brakes on. They are no better than before. Any suggestions.
Thanks

How do you skim the rotors on the brakes?

I recently ask about my brakes on my car. I put 2 sets of new brakes and 2 new rotors on my car and the brakes still squeek. You said to skimm the rotors but if they are new why should we have to do that. Do you have any other suggestions.

Hi there,

If you have already gone through one set of cheap pads, these often have a high resign content and can cause the rotors to get a glassy like surface on them that can squeal when the brakes are applied, a very light skin of the rotor swill fix it, this is a problem with cheap rubbish pads.
