Engine Cooling problem
1996 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 141k miles

had an accident with an SUV 15inches higher than my collora. dented the hood and pushed back the top of the radiator.

lots of body damage that i don't care about, and a bent radiator hose that can be pulled out to function properly. maybe a small radiator leak.

engine needs to be jumped each time... not sure how to test the car's functionability at this point, because the amount of body damage makes it seem undrivable. but it is drivable. dont want to spend $2k on repairs i could do myself.

just want to test the car without the hose bent, and without blowing a head gasket.

You will have to at least weld the braces that snapped to give radiator proper air flow.

Possibly replace radiator and battery, check battery connections.

And do not overheat engine or head will warp.

Many times in accidents, there is hidden damage, that can only be discovered after disassembly.
