I need to know what potential problems I am facing with my car. It idles really rough and sounds very loud lately. It's leaking fluid but I cant tell if its motor oil or powersteering fluid. What things should I check out to eliminate all the extra guessing I've been doing?

Hi Audrey_Rose20,

You have passed the guessing to us, lol.

Where noise are concerned, even with a good and clear description of the noise, it would be difficult to pinpioint the cause without the physical vehicle.

The rough idling could be due to low idling speed, a fault in the idling system or clogging of air passages.

Motor oil would be black in color. Power steering fluid would either be clear or red in color.
