I drive Toyoto corolla 1995. I have problem with engine light shows on. I went to michanic . he says my three cylinder are working good but one cylinder did not get spark. he tune up and change spark plug but still when i stop my car it gives too much vibration and when drive it feels like taking load. now he says cylinder is not working so we need to change engine..
i am confused what to do ? anybody can guide me. i buy this car befour 2 years in $ 5000 and then after i change water pump, battary, all four tires ...to much expensive and now battory..please guide me what should i do ?

First have him perform a compression test on the cylinder in question. If good, then it could be an injector problem, or spark to that cylinder.

If compression is low, then the rings are bad or there is a valve problem in the head, or a bad head gasket.

In any case, even if the rings/piston are bad, the cylinder could be fixed or a used engine used to replace it.
