Engine Performance problem
1995 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Automatic

when i stop my car in front of the traffic light (foot on stop pedal), 10 seconds later, i feel the irregular shake of the steering wheel and then my car strand, meanwhile the indicator of the battery light shows in the panel. i need to put the transmission in P position and turn off the engine, restart it again, so that the car can run. i went to two garage, one changed my distributor and the other changed my alternator, still does not work. pls help me to figure out what wrong with my car.
