Have a 93 Toyota Corolla automatic, 170,000 miles, is in such excellent condition that it looks brand new. Have treated it like a baby since day I bought it brand new.

Suddenly the water from the windshield reservoir won't pump up and spray out on my windshield -- and when I do engage the wiper arm to spray water, there is no sound from the water pump motor like there used to be.

Could it be a fuse, or is the pump probably dead? AND, is it expenisve to replace?

Thanks!

Hi there,

unbolt the washer bottle and withdraw, remove electrical plug from motor, test for 12 V at plug when washers on. If OK motor is unserviceable, they only push in to the rubber seal in the bottle, but you may have to replace the bottle and pump as a unit if you buy it genuine.
