Since my last oil and filter change I am adding a quart of oil about every 500 miles. I added a quart about a month ago and was told I am 2 quarts low today. He also said it smells funny like I am burning oil. I don't see any oil leaks on the ground and the car runs great. Does this mean I have engine damage and am burning oil? I would like to keep the car for awhile longer because it has been problem free.

Hi there,

Check to see if at the last oil change they are using the correct oil for your car. If they have used a diesel oil, this can cause oil burning problems in petrol cars.
