1992 Toyota Corolla Fuel + Temp gauges over reading

Both gauges started reading max at the same time.
Engine temp is actually fine and half a tank of petrol.
Checked both sender units - OK
Checked printed circuit on back of instument clustes - OK.
Can only be something common to both gauges.
Is there a seperate voltage regulator that supplies these 2 gauges?

Could be a ground problem for both-I couldn't say the gauges are out of calibration.
