I have an intermittent problem with my car. Sometimes after I've been driving it for a while and stop and turn off the car, it won't start when I get back into it. When I turn the key nothing happens. No click or anything. I've had the battery tested and it's fine. I've heard that if the starter gets hot it won't work. How do I know if it's my starter?

Thanks for the reply. I bought this car in July and I've never owned a Toyota before. Where is the starter located?

It is on the firewall side under the intake manifold next to the trans. bellhousing.
Remove the passengers side tire and put the front end on jackstands. Then the stone shields. Two bolts hold it in place, one faces passengers side, one drivers side.

Another option is to remove starter (disconnect negative battery cable) and have sarter tested at most auto parts stores.
