1990 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I am replacing the cylinder head gasket and would like R&R instructions.

Really you need a repair manual, this is a big job.

drain coolant
set engine to TDC #1
remove alt, WP pulley, dist.
Remove wiring to injectors, MAP and then fuel rail.
Remove intake and exhaust manifolds.
Remove timing belt.
Remove valve cover.
Screw a M6 x 1 bolt into hole in intake camshaft subgear.
Rotate exhaust cam 90 degrees and remove bearing caps starting at center, rotate bolts 1/4 turn at a time.
Remove intake camshaft.
Remove head bolts starting in center, working out.
Remove head.
DO NOT MIX UP THE ADJUSTMENT SHIMS, THEY MUST GO BACK IN SAME POSITION.
