1990 Toyota Corolla Changed the engine now the gas milage I

Changed the engine and now I get about 5to 10 miles to a gallon of gas and there is gas in the oil dip stick what would cause all this

Hi there, check for a leaking injector, does the car blow black smoke at all?

Make sure you put correct engine in car, the 4AFE was standard while the 4AGE was an option.

But there are very few 4AGE engines in 90 Corolla's.
