Electrical problem
1989 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

The battery of my car of nine months easily discharged for overnight period so every morning we have to push to start its engine. I brought it up to the electrical shop for check up on battery, electrical wirings, alternator however the technician could not specify the cause . I have already replaced the battery for a new one but after a month there goes again my problem so what i did is to disconnect the battery cable from the battery terminal . My question is. what are the possibilities of discharge, how could we detect if the electrical wirings is grounded, is there any gadget to easily detect if it is grounded? please help me. thank you

You can take it to most autoparts stores and get the charging system tested for free.

Also get a drain test, assuming the alt. and battery are OK.

The drain test will look for any unusual drains on the battery when the engine is off.

I dont know how car savy you are but you can take the negitive battery terminal off connect an ammeter (a function on most digital mulitmeters) between the (-) battery terminal and the (-) cable wait about 10mins and see who many amps are being pulled from your battery with everything off and closed including taking the underhood light bulb out for this test also if the multimeter says anything over .5 amps you have a problem. At this point check that everytime you open a door the light comes on and there is a bigger pull on the battery via the meter sometimes the door switches go bad and cause a pull on the battery without the light even comming on. if you have an aftermarket radio or cd player make sure it turns off when you turn the switch off or try turning it off manualy before you turn the key off those are the most common reasons also check the trunk light if you have one
