So my car has a very hard time starting in the cold after sitting overnight. When I turn the key about 1/2 of the time there will be no attempt at turning over just a clicking sound, and the other 1/2 when it does try to turn over it sounds weak, the longer I do this the weaker the battery seems to get. I do this for about an hour or so letting it sit a few minutes in between and I can usually get it started.

I have replaced the battery and like I said it only has trouble in the cold. I'm wondering if maybe a new alternator would help or if I'm SOL because its a combustion engine and thats how they work in the winter time.
