When car is running but with engine at idle speed at a stop light, the brake and battery light are on. If I increase the RPMs both of the lights go out. While driving both these lights are out. I have had a new battery and alternator installed and have had the voltage output checked at the battery and it reads 14.3 volts, which I believe to be sufficient to keep battery charged. My understanding is that voltage regulators are now part and parcel to the alternator. I have checked with two different mechanics and neither has any clue to the answer or fix of the brake / battery light coming on. Help point me and a mechanic in the right direction to fix this problem, please. Also, why are these two lights tied together so to speak? Yes, I gladly donate each and every time I post a question. Thank you in advance...........Steve
